About me

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with over fifteen years experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents and adults who experience wide range of difficulties. My passion and speciality is working with adolescents and young people who struggle with mental health difficulties such as Depression and long standing Anxiety or struggle with self esteem and complex peer/family dynamics,  and with adults who feel they have long term difficulties in areas such as relationships, Depression and Anxiety, transitions in life (becoming a parent for example) and loss.

I feel privileged to accompany people on their journey towards their desired goals and good mental health, and my ethos is that through therapy we can increase self awareness which ultimately gives a person more choices in life.

Alongside my clinical work in Private Practice and in the NHS, I am also a lecturer and supervisor in various Mental Health and Social Work training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.

Experience

I have worked in the past 15 years in various settings including the Private Sector, Local Authorities and the NHS both in England and in Israel. I have substantial experience of undertaking complex assessments, as well as treatment, working with adults, children and young people (5-18) and families. I have 8 years experience as a Senior clinician in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service both in Essex and Hertfordshire undertaking complex Mental Health Assessments and providing medium to long term therapy as well as planing and delivering training to local GP's and Headteachers and Education based staff across the county. Over the years I have worked alongside families offering parent consultations, consultations to staff and supervision to trainees.
